Michael Katz: Art as Fashion

michaelkatz.jpg

Michael Katz was a painter then turned fashion designer who hand painted all of his fabric. The concept of this window was to bring the paintbrush strokes in his one-of-a-kind fabrics to life; the colorful paintbrush strokes speaks out about Michael’s style and his artistic background. The expressive mannequin is dressed and styled with Katz’s garments.

“He really was an artist who used clothing as his vehicle.”

-Jeffrey Banks
